The Poultry Building is so named due to its history of being a poultry building and egg hatchery in Lawrence, Kansas. Located in the Warehouse Arts District, this building was built around 1918 and it is one of the most unique working spaces in the city. The area that the Poultry Building is in is historically significant for its role in the commercial development and growth of Lawrence as a city starting in the early 1880s and on. The East Lawrence Neighborhood began as a testament to commerce, industry, and community planning and development and continues to this day in the blossoming Warehouse Arts District.

Original brick, polished concrete flooring, exposed duct work, and modern art lining the walls gives this historical building a perfect blend of a contemporary feel while preserving the history and nature of the building and the neighborhood.
